1. About us and these terms

Gulf Trade Portal is operated by Excorp Distribution B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands (KVK No. 96822945), trading as "Gulf Trade Portal" ("we", "us", "our", or "the platform"). These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("you", "member", or "user") and us.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• The platform is intended for businesses and authorised business representatives only. It is not for consumer use.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must be authorised to act on behalf of the company you register.

3. Our role as a platform

Gulf Trade Portal is a neutral matchmaking platform. We connect importers, exporters, suppliers, and logistics providers, but we are not a party to any transaction between members. Specifically:

• We do not buy, sell, ship, or take ownership of any goods listed on the platform;
• We do not act as a broker, agent, freight forwarder, or customs agent in member transactions;
• We charge no commission on trades concluded between members;
• Any contract, negotiation, payment, shipment, or dispute is solely between the members involved.

We provide the platform and tools to facilitate introductions; the responsibility for due diligence, contracts, and fulfilment rests with the members.

4. Member responsibilities

• You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence on any counterparty before entering into a transaction;
• You must ensure that any products, offers, or services you list are accurate, lawful, and that you have the right to offer them;
• You must comply with all applicable laws, including export controls, sanctions, customs, and product regulations in the relevant jurisdictions;
• You are responsible for the accuracy of any trade request, offer, or freight quote you submit.

5. Verification and listings

We may verify company information against trade registries as part of our "Know Your Business" (KYB) process. A "Verified" badge indicates that we have performed a verification check; it is not a guarantee of a member's conduct, solvency, product quality, or the outcome of any transaction. We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion.

6. Subscriptions and advertising

• Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown on our Packages page and may be billed monthly or annually;
• Advertising and sponsored placements are available to verified members and are clearly labelled as such;
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date;
• Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time, and your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful listings or information;
• List counterfeit, illegal, sanctioned, or prohibited goods;
• Use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm other members;
• Circumvent, scrape, or misuse the platform or its data;
• Infringe the intellectual property or rights of others;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other accounts.

8. Intellectual property

The platform, including its design, branding, text, and software, is owned by Excorp Distribution B.V. and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit, but grant us a licence to host, display, and use it as necessary to operate the platform and facilitate matchmaking.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We make no warranties about the conduct, identity, solvency, or reliability of any member;
• We are not liable for any loss arising from transactions, dealings, or disputes between members;
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
• Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or local law protections that may apply to you.
